Horton & Storey raises a glass to Shirley community by sponsoring charity beer festival
Horton & Storey is proud to be sponsoring this year’s Shirley Charity Beer and Cider Festival, which runs later this week from Thursday 10th May to Saturday 12th May at the Camp Hill Rugby Football Club.
Every year, the Shirley Beer Festival – run in association with CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), Roundtable and Ladies Club – welcomes thousands of locals through the gates. Attendees can sample from over 100 beers and 25 ciders, with profits being donated to a host of local charities.
In addition to the range of beers and ciders on offer, the festival will be keeping the revellers highly entertained – hosting a range of stand-up comedy and live music, as well as an array of food.
Tom Storey, Director at Horton & Storey, said: “We’re gearing up for what we are sure will be a great event this week, at the Shirley Beer Festival, generating money for charities, such as the Lily Mae Foundation – which helps bereaved parents and their families.
“We knew we needed to be part of the festival this year, as we continue to introduce ourselves to the people of Shirley and support its homeowners.”
“In addition to the charitable contributions it has raised and donated over the years, the Shirley Charity Beer and Cider Festival has become a key fixture in the community calendar.
“We’re looking forward to attending the festival. We’ll be trying some of the local brews – in strict moderation, of course – and we’re excited to meet more of Shirley’s families, working professionals and up-and-comers.“
If you’d like to speak to Justyn and Tom of Horton & Storey, you’ll spot the company banner at the kids area. The Thursday night – which is run as a stand-up comedy night – is now sold out. However, advanced tickets for the Friday and Saturday of the festival are still available and can be bought here.
